Assistant Teaching Professor at Loyola
In the spring of 2021, I started as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola. It's during this time that I gained valuable lessons teaching online and in person classes.
In the fall of 2022, I accepted a full-time teaching position in Loyola's communication & media department as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Communication. In this role, I've taught Media Writing, Multimedia Storytelling, Fundamentals of Advertising and Public Relations, Intro to Communications, and a Practical Meteorology course in Loyola's physics department.
Beyond the Classroom
During the fall 2023 semester, I worked with students interested in weather to create weather broadcasts through GreyComm Studios--Loyola's student-run television station. We submitted a broadcast for the Broadcast Education Association Festival of the Arts competition.
Public Relations Experience
In 2018, I started working at Loyola University Maryland as a Communications Specialist. During this time, I wrote articles for Loyola.edu and Loyola Magazine. I went on to work as the Assistant Director of Communications for two years. In this position, I handled media relations for the University and wrote institutional press releases. I also handled crisis communications and gained valuable experience co-writing the Universities crisis communication plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also worked with Loyola's prestigious faculty to secure more than 350 media interviews during this time.
